CRSL School2Home™ Reading
Licensing CRSL Decodable Books for Home Use
Structured reading that doesn’t stop at the classroom door
-
CRSL School2Home™ Reading extends classroom decodable reading into the home.
Families are able to see and read the same texts students are working on in school and participate in the reading process at home.
Because the books come directly from the CRSL decodable series used in instruction, home reading stays aligned with what teachers are teaching in the classroom.
-
Your school will be able to invite families into the reading process in a way that supports your instructional goals.
Instead of sending home unrelated reading material, families can practice with the same texts students are working through in class. Parents can hear their child read, see the kinds of words and patterns being introduced, and participate in the learning that is already happening at school.
It creates a natural bridge between classroom instruction and home support without changing how teachers are teaching reading.
-
Families receive online access to the decodable books their child is reading in class, available on a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet. Even a phone can be used to display the easy-to-use flip book format.
CRSL will provide the school with simple communication sheets for each book, which include QR codes and web links that open the online flip book. Teachers distribute these sheets to families according to the pacing of their classroom instruction.
Within the online book, parents will find built-in guidance for before, during, and after reading. Easy to use prompts help parents support their child’s decoding and understanding as they work through the text together.

CRSL School2Home™ Reading is provided via a licensing arrangement. Series are licensed per classroom, per school year.
We will work with you to determine which series and classrooms make the most sense for your school. Once licensing is in place, CRSL provides the online access and materials teachers use to share the books with families.
Teachers introduce the books in class as they normally would and decide when families receive access for home reading. Access remains active for the licensed school year.
